Stock Dove Columba oenas in flight by Nigel Blake

Micro cap stocks have the get rich quick allure. Even a small gain on a small cap stock can mean making it rich with very little money. Some of the greatest stocks on the market today were once micro cap stocks, including Microsoft (MSFT), Wal-Mart (WMT), and Apple (AAPL). The big question is whether or not micro-cap investment really pays off.

Many micro cap stocks suffer from a wide array of problems, such as insufficient funding, brand recognition issues, no financial reporting, not enough share volume, and many other problems. Since most micro cap stocks are traded on either the Pink Sheets or the OTCBB, and those markets do not regulate company and financial reporting, the information needed to make a good stock pick is often either not present or it is incorrect. Picking the right micro cap stock can be like picking a needle out of a haystack. There is also the risk that the company will go out of business, leaving you with losing all of your money.

The basic premise of playing the stock market is risk versus reward. The best investment moves are made when the risk versus reward is properly balanced. In the micro cap market, the risk is very high, while the reward is also very high. It is estimated that only 10 percent of micro cap stocks make any money, while the rest lose money. To put that into perspective, the average ratio of getting a winning scratch ticket is one in three. The chances of choosing a winning micro cap stock are only one in ten. Since the odds are against making any money from a micro cap stock, it is wise not to base your investment portfolio on these stocks.

Any micro cap stock investment should be treated as a gamble and you should be willing to accept that all of the invested money may be lost entirely. The key to investing in micro cap stocks is to choose stocks that have a large trading volume so that you can sell the stocks. It is important to invest in companies that properly report their financial information so that you can make an educated stock pick. Choose a stock that also has proven itself to be reliable. A micro cap stock should be on the market for at least one year before considering it as a stock pick. The stock should not be unstable. The charts for the stock should not bounce all over the place wildly. By using these tips, you can improve your chances of making a good stock pick.

The inflammation diet benefits many conditions such as: heart problems, joint inflammation, rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, sinus, gout, memory loss and diabetes. However, diet alone may not always be enough.

When the inflammation diet doesn't decrease pain and increase mobility fast enough, natural supplements come to the rescue. Use these products to ramp up the inflammation diet for faster results, especially with chronic inflammation.

Fish Oil Supplements

Since the inflammation diet isn't effective unless fish is consumed, fish oil supplements are invaluable. The only fish oil side effects are back-burping fish taste and this is alleviated with enteric-coated pills.

However, the benefits of fish oil are so extraordinary, this is often overlooked. Basically, "good" fats, in fish oils, are needed to balance "bad" fats. And inflammation isn't stopped without the "good" fats, which are omega-3's, found in fish oil.

Anti-inflammatory Supplements

1) The next most important supplement to reduce inflammation is fat-soluble vitamin E. It keeps inflammation from getting started by disarming inflammatory genes and is a powerful antioxidant. Take 200 to 400 IU of mixed-tocopherol vitamin E daily.

2) Probiotics reduce inflammation. They produce a treasure chest of anti-toxin, anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer substances within the immune system. In fact, probiotics are so important to health, if they are out of balance, everything is compromised.

As probiotics thrive in the intestinal tract, they detoxify and regenerate. They are vast reserves of essential hard-to-get nutrients and anti-inflammatory compounds. These quell inflammation with more clout than any anti-inflammatory pharmaceutical or nutraceutical. Probiotics feed human cells so when deficient, the liver absorbs mal-digestive byproducts which elicit inflammation, a condition common in hundreds of patients with MCS and fibromyalgia.

Additional Anti-inflammatory Products

Ginger, turmeric and garlic are also anti-inflammatory. Suggestion: 400 to 600 milligrams turmeric and 500 to 1,000 milligrams ginger, twice daily, with food. Take both consistently for two months for results.

With the inflammation diet reversing so many conditions, it is considered disease preventative. And with the additional use of these herb and vitamin supplements, which shouldn't interfere with other medications, pain and mobility return faster while consuming the inflammation diet.

stock market crash by ♠Deej♠

It is apparent to anyone watching the stock market, the falling AIG stock price, the potential for the Lehman Barclays deal, and a possibly disastrous AIG bankruptcy, that consumers are afraid to lose what is left of their nest eggs.

In the wake of a tumbling Dow Jones, hushed whispers of a stock market crash and frantic activity at the New York Stock Exchange, Wall Street mavens are calling for the Fed to cut interest rates in a last ditch effort to overcome Bank of America stock prices -- and Merrill Lynch as well as Morgan Stanley stock price doubts -- with a shot in the economic arm.

Stock Market Analysis

Stock market analysts claim to know what ails a floundering Wall Street: the aftermath of the mortgage crisis. USA Today reports that the seemingly unprecedented drop in the stock market is due to the precarious fiscal empires of Lehman Bros, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, Countrywide, and even Merrill Lynch finally toppling.

As the DOW took a 504 point nosedive, other companies are being sucked down the spiral as well. The Street pulls no punches as it details the downgrading of insurer AIG stock prices. Once known as AIG Valic, AIG stock prices join Con Edison, Eli Lilly, and even PG&E stocks; investors are eyeing the Dow Jones and worry about another stock market crash.

The British Are Coming, the British Are Coming!

The news is not all bad, however, since across the pond there are some signs that foreign investors are taking a closer look at America's floundering Wall Street. According to the Associated Press, London's Barclays PLC is making overtures to buy some of the assets Chapter 11 bound Lehman Brothers has for sale. Whether or not advantageous for Lehman, Barclays' interest might inject some much needed capital into the transaction.

As rumors of an AIG bankruptcy send not only its stock prices but also associated industry stocks -- such as the Merrill Lynch stock price and also Morgan Stanley stock price - onto a topsy turvy course, it bears remembering that the much feared New York Stock Exchange Black Monday is not a new occurrence.

A Brief History of Time

As a matter of fact, even recent history shows a cyclical appearance of Black Monday responses to late Friday company press releases and weekend world news. For example, the Black Monday Wall Street jitters that rocked the stock market yesterday occurred in the wake of Lehman Brothers' Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing and also the news that Bank of America had acquired Merrill Lynch.

Take for another example January 21st, 2008. Even as there was no trading on Wall Street itself due to the federal Martin Luther King, Junior holiday observance, stock market movers and shakers were not idle and watched with apprehension the tumbles of India's and also Hong Kong's stock indices.

KPTM Fox 42 quotes the Associated Press account that points to the combination of international fiscal shenanigans and a serious doubt over the Bush Administration's economic stimulus package that led to an investor led run on Wall Street on the next trading day. A scant day later, BBC News reported of a stock market recovery in the wake of an interest rate cut by the Federal Reserve.

The BBC pointed out that even spiraling commodities markets quickly recovered and once again picked up appreciably.

2008 a 1987 in Disguise?

21 years prior to this occurrence, there was another Black Monday that sent the stock market reeling. During the onset of the holiday season on October 19th, 1987, the Dow Jones Industrial Average went down by more than 22%. The Motley Fool put together a stellar account of the year 1987 and a snapshot of the stock market which, at that time, appeared to be plagued by fraud, and empty promises.

Sent over the edge by the 10-19 shelling of the Iranian oil platform located in the Persian Gulf, the Motley Fool concludes that it was not a single event, but instead a series of seemingly only tangentially related incidents that - much akin a slow fuse to a powder keg - finally set off the explosion.

Back to the future, today is not really that different from 21 years ago. A series of unfortunate events, speculation driven transactions, poor planning on the parts of consumers, corporate greed, and a failure to put down the governmental foot a lot sooner on haphazard corporate accountability have brought America's chickens home to roost (maybe this is what Jeremiah Wright was talking about?).

The worst thing you could do right now is place all of your nest eggs into one basket, while the best thing to do is to diversify your investment portfolio, keep a good chunk of cash in an FDIC insured high interest savings account, and then hold on for the ride. If your blood pressure permits, get in on the action and speculate, but you stand a good chance of losing your shirt.

What is the Stock market? It truly is a great sorted system wherever any person in addition to everybody can easily either purchase or maybe offer their particular stocks or maybe explains to you

Chpt5-SecC: How Long Should I Hold On To The Stock? by palynp

Day trading stock investors run a risky business every time they log onto their computer. A day trader works by grabbing a stock and holding onto it for no more then twenty four hours. Sometimes they may not have the stock for a minute before they sell it. This venture is very risky and can lead to major losses in a very short amount of time. Even the U.S. Securities and Exchanges Commission warns against day trading. If an investor is not careful, the pitfalls associated with this type of stock trading can cause them to lose everything.

The first important fact that many who are interested in beginning to try day trading stock online need to remember is that usually those who are day traders suffers severe financial losses in the first months trading stock online. Many who day trade never reach that profit making stage. If a person is just beginning to dabble with day trading stock and does not have money to waste, this may not be the best way to get into the stock market.

Another pitfall that day trading stock investors should be aware of is that with day trading, no investment is ever made. Traders will sit in front of a computer and search for just the right stock that is either going up or down. The idea is to ride the stock for the duration that is making money and be able to get out before it begins to lose money. Day trading stock online means that a person never holds onto a stock for twenty four hours because of the critical amount of money they stand to lose.

Anyone who goes into day trading stock online must be prepared to spend all day in front of the computer. This is not a part time job for the novice trying to make a few extra bucks quickly. A person must be willing to purchase stock trading software, computers, and deal with professional trading brokerage houses. Day trading is a full time job that takes money, patience, and persistence.

Those who chose to become day trading stock investors should be ready to face the consequences that follow this occupation. This is not a job for the weary. A person must constantly be available to buy and sell stocks at a very fast pace, and the losses that will more than likely happen in the first few months can be crippling. If an individual is looking at choosing day trading stock investing as a career, they should definitely do their homework before beginning this risky venture.

Guide for you to stock options selection trading

trade2race online trade games by b.tzachi

Options trading has been the centre of much debate of recent years. Is options trading dangerous? Can we go bankrupt on Options Trading? Indeed, options as a form of derivative instrument is far more complex than the stocks that they are written based on and, like a wild stallion, can hurt you if you do not understand how it works and how to use it properly.

This brings us to the topic of this article.

In this article, I shall present 5 reasons why options trading is actually better than stock trading in order to dispel the age old myths of how dangerous options trading is. Let's remember this: Options trading is dangerous only when you do not understand it.

1) Variable Leverage

The leverage that options trading give you is perhaps the main reason why people gravitate to options trading in the first place. Leverage is the ability to do more with the same amount of money. Trading options allows you to make a lot more profit on the same move on the underlying stock. When you buy the stock itself without margin, you are merely making 1% profit on a 1% move in your favor. However, in options trading, you could be making 10% profit on that same 1% move the stock made or even up to 100% on that same 1% move!

Yes, the beauty of leverage in options trading, unlike in futures trading, is that it is VARIABLE!

Leverage in options trading is variable, you could take on more leverage for more risk or lesser leverage for lesser risk by choosing options of different strike prices and/or expiration month. In general, the more out of the money options, the higher the leverage and the more in the money options, the lower the leverage.

Leverage cuts both ways. This is why the beauty of leverage in options trading is that it allows you to do the same trades with much lesser money, as such, you could simply use only money you can afford to and intend to lose in any failed trade for each options trade so leverage actually help you control your losses instead!

2) Low Capital Requirement

Apple Inc. , AAPL, is trading at $295.36 today which means it takes $29,536 to buy 100 shares today. However, AAPL's at the money call options costs only something like $715 to control the profits on that same 100 shares of Apple!

3) Bet Downwards Without Margin

In order to profit from a downwards move on a stock in stock trading, you could only short the stock which incurs margin. However, in options trading, all you need to do in order to bet on a stock going downwards is to BUY its put options with no margin needed at all. That's right, buying put options for profit to downside works exactly the same as buying call options for profit to upside. There is no need to own the stock beforehand and there is no need for margin!

4) Multi-Directional Profits

In stock trading, you only profit when the stock goes in the direction you want it to. Upwards when you buy the stock or downwards when you short the stock. There is no way to profit in both scenarios simultaneously and there is no way to profit if the price of the stock does not move. However, in options trading, such multi-directional profits are possible! There are options strategies that allows you to profit no matter if the stock goes upwards or downwards quickly and there are options strategies that profits even if the price of the stock remains unchanged! Such is the real magic of options strategies which greatly increases your chances of winning in options trading versus stock trading!

5) Play Banker

Sick and tired of always being at the player's side of the table? In options trading, you could switch instead to the banker's side of the table and do what market makers do by selling options to people who are wants to take the side of the player! When the players lose, as they often do, you get to keep the bet as profit just like a real banker! Only options trading has the "bet" which you get to keep and it is known as "extrinsic value".

As you can see by now, options trading is indeed far more powerful and safe than stock trading if you do it correctly. To learn more about what you can do with options, visit our Options Trading website at Optiontradingpedia.com .

Appliance Repair For Any Room In The House Appliance Repair Solutions For Your Just about every single Appliances

Appliances Repair in VA by kattyjamez

We've been having some refrigerator issues lately. I've had two repairmen tackle the problem. The first scratched his head for half an hour and rounded out his time telling me about his back spasms. He left telling me I should vacuum behind there occasionally. The second guy replaced the mother board (Even refrigerators have mother boards now. Can you believe it?) in seven minutes and spent the remainder of his time laughing at the first guy charging me for doing nothing.

Last week the good ol' side by side started leaking water on the floor. The sister put on her appliance repair hat and strapped on her tool belt. She makes me nervous when she does this, but I got on the computer, for research purposes. We argue a lot while trying to fix things, and this time was no different. She got pissed when I challenged her chipping ice build-up with a hammer, and I flipped her off when she called me a know-it-all do-nothing. We compromised and decided to wipe up the puddle every two of three days and wait for a real disaster.

Well, the disaster happened this morning. The "puddle" became a stream. Of course no repairman would be available on Memorial Day weekend, so we jumped into disaster mode. The sister joyously strapped on her tool belt, and I reluctantly got on the computer. As I was analyzing the problem, the sister was emptying the freezer, hammering ice, and looking at stuff. Things all came together as I was shouting the suggested resolution to her and she said, "Drain? Wait. I see a drain. Hmmm. Nope. I don't think it's the drain"

I read the Q&As which applied exactly to our problem, while she took a repairman's break. I could tell she was purposely humoring me, so I got up and examined the drain thing myself. She gets a little cocky when I think she's wrong, or when I question her methods. I innocently asked her to find something we could shove onto the drain just to find out if it was clogged, and she said, "Why don't you shove that computer in there."

I was in no mood to fight with her, but she started it. We had gone a round or two when the nephew walks in. He took his usual seat, kicked back, and evaluated the situation.

"I've got a big white pan you could shove under there to catch the water. Cosmetically, it might not match your décor, but it'll do the trick." I was pretty sure he was joking, but he should know by now that the sister takes everything he says as gospel. The sister pondered this for a moment and said, "That's not a bad idea."

Is it any wonder these people make me crazy? These are the same two rednecks who propped up the corner of the old deck with a mop. Sheesh. I won't even mention what the gutter on the garage used to be attached with, but I will say the shed has held up well, considering duct tape is holding the lower back panel on.

So, I carefully chipped the ice around the drain, cleaned it, dried the area and reloaded the freezer. It's dry, the all three dispensers are working, and beyond that, I could care less. I told the two Bob-the Builders we're calling a licensed honest-to-God repairman if it leaks again. I think the sister was a bit disappointed that she never got a chance to use her tool belt, but last time I saw her she was headed for the bathroom. She's been talking about leveling out the dryer. She temporarily "fixed" it a few months ago with some Styrofoam and a 2x4. I thanked the nephew for his advice and told him to save his big white pan for when his refrigerator starts leaking. He said, "Yeah, right. I'm not doing anything like that in my house. What are you, nuts?"

Uh, oh. Gotta go. Someone's messin' with the crushed ice button.
